Lambda Literary Award-winning science fiction and nonfiction writer, Journalist, and editor who has written three novels “The Terraformers, Autonomous, and The Future of Another Timeline. She is also a former Senior Tech Culture Editor at Ars Technica. They are working as a writer for the New York Times and have a monthly column for New Scientist. As a science journalist, they have written Four Lost Cities: A Secret History of the Urban Age and Scatter, Adapt and Remember: How Humans Will Survive a Mass Extinction, which was a finalist for the LA Times Book Prize in Science.
